On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, families, students, educators, and advocates from across Iowa will gather at the Iowa State Capitol to celebrate something worth defending — parental choice in education.
Our 2026 Education Celebration will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Iowa State Capitol, featuring legislator visits, displays, and a rally in the rotunda.

Policy is personal. When legislators see families and students filling the Capitol, it reminds them that educational freedom isn’t theoretical — it impacts real lives.

At 1:30 p.m., we’ll gather in the first-floor rotunda for a 20–30 minute rally.
There’s something special about standing shoulder-to-shoulder beneath the Capitol dome with families from across the state. The rally will be a visible, positive demonstration of support for effective K-12 options and parental choice in education.

4. Bring Your Students — This Is Civic Education in Action
What better civics lesson than visiting the Capitol, meeting legislators, and seeing the legislative process up close?
Families are encouraged to:
- Schedule visits with their legislators in advance
- Explore the displays in the rotunda (12:30 p.m.–2:30 p.m.)
- Take a Capitol tour on their own
- Students will see firsthand how public policy works — and how their voices can shape it
