Last week I received an email from Cassie Olesen, who recently enrolled her children at Emmetsburg Catholic School in Emmetsburg, Iowa. She said they transitioned from public school this year to take advantage of smaller class sizes, religious education, and they are excited to have each of their kids’ individual needs met.
I am writing to you to express how the ESA program has impacted our little family. The ESA program has given our family the opportunity to give our children the education we have always dreamed of. They are growing and thriving, learning about Jesus and all that he has done us. It is the ESA program that made this opportunity a possibility, and without it we would be unable to do so. Our family is so thankful for the opportunity to provide them with a Catholic Education. Being in a rural area there are not a lot of opportunities for small class sizes with more focused learning. Public Schools struggle to provide nurturing, focused, controlled classrooms.
Our children are thriving in the smaller classroom and I know in my heart that they would not receive this in going to public school. We have attended public school, and there is just no comparison. They are getting more one-on-one attention and it’s a wonderful to see them grow and thrive. The gift of being able to attend to church during the school day is also something that we covet dearly. I am begging as a mother, not to do away with a program that benefits so many in so many ways. My husband and I are trying so hard to raise well-rounded children, and the education that they receive is a critical part in doing so. We so appreciate the ability to use this program and all of the benefits it has given us.
Thank you kindly for listening to this mama. I sincerely hope and pray the program sticks around so that we can give our children the education they deserve.
I appreciate Cassie sharing her story, if you would like to share how ESAs have impacted your family, drop me a line.
