Community Lutheran School in Readlyn, Iowa surveyed their parents including asking about the impact education savings accounts have had on their families. Here are some of the responses they shared that was passed on to me by Lydia Quick of Iowa Association of Christian Schools:
- “School choice shouldn’t be something a family is forced to choose simply because one is “more affordable” than the other. It shouldn’t have to come down to parents having the stress of one more bill added to the revolving bill door. It should be an equal opportunity for parents to choose which education system they feel fits their family’s beliefs.” – Sierra W
- “There isn’t a value I can put on this – it is a must in our child’s education. We are so blessed to have CLS. We are so blessed to have the ESA program. Christian education helps us as parents build the foundation that our children need as they walk through this earthly life.” – Jessica A
- “When my child needed summer school to help them not lose what they have learned. We knew ESA funding was there to help cover the cost, and we didn’t have to make changes to our spending to do so.” – Sheila B
